Why is the Armenian Language Special

We have created a brand-new platform where we bring together all ideas on how to optimize the teaching of Armenian in our schools, both in Armenia and abroad, and for the whole world.

Personally, every time I teach the Armenian language to our Armenian children and adults in the Diaspora, I experience deep emotion and joy as I reveal the rich values of our language and the secrets of its structure. There is such profound and illuminating meaning in Armenian words and speech, in our culture and traditions.

 What remains is to present all this correctly, based on high values and the best examples.

Let us also preserve our language by protecting it from unnecessary foreign influences, while of course remaining attentive to contemporary trends and the rhythm of development.

When we teach Armenian, we should take into account today’s dynamic lifestyle and make our educational programs engaging, enjoyable, and game-like. Armenian has its own challenges, and we must be caring and supportive toward learners, acting as guides, while at the same time creating lessons and educational materials so that Armenian does not lag behind the pace of development of foreign language-teaching methodologies.

With my many years of rich experience, my goal today is to make Armenian lessons so modern and engaging that they will not only withstand competition, but even become so interesting that people all over the world will want to learn and communicate in Armenian.

If humanity could understand the deep meaning contained in every root and fundamental word, people would fall irreversibly in love with the Armenian language, I am convinced of this. Every interaction with Armenian surprises us again with its immense linguistic richness.
